Opis was founded in 1998 by Aldo Poli (Managing Director) and Laura Ambrosoli
(Medical Director), both with sound experience in the field.

Born in Milan in 1948, after obtaining the Maturità Classica Diploma, he attends the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the Università
degli Studi of Milan and presents an experimental thesis in Clinical Psychology. He attends different courses in Statistics,
Pharmacokinetics and Clinical Pharmacology. He is author of several scientific publications. From 1972 to 1984 he carries out research
work at the Gerontology Section of the Psychology Institute of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the Università degli Studi of Milan.
From 1984 to 1998 he is responsible of the Statistics and Biometry Service of the company Poli Industria Chimica S.p.A. Since 1998 till 2004
he is Managing Director of OPIS. From 2005 became the President of Board of Directors.

Laura Ambrosoli |

Born in Busto Arsizio (VA) in 1961, she graduates in Medicine and Surgery at the Università
degli Studi of Pavia, presenting experimental thesis in Clinical Pharmacology.
She also obtains the Specialization in Clinical Pharmacology. From 1987 to 1989 she carries
out research work at the Pharmacology and Toxicology Section of the Internal Medicine and Medical
Therapy Department of the Università degli Studi of Pavia. From 1989 to 1991 she works as
Medical Adviser for Roussel Pharma in Milan. From 1991 to 1998 she is responsible of the
cardiovascular and central nervous system therapeutic areas for the company Poli Industria
Chimica S.p.A. in Milan. Since 1999 she is OPIS Medical Director and from 2005 also a member
of Board of Directors.
