IVRS: Interactive Voice Response System

IVRS is a computerized phone-vocal system, operating 24 hours a day, which offers the Investigator the possibility to carry out some typical clinical trial activities easily and safely, for example:


Centralized patient randomization

Random code opening

The connection to the system takes place by dialling a toll-free number and the interaction is possible by using a “tone” telephone. The access to the system is enabled by entering an identification study code and an Investigator centre code.

By programming the operating software, the IVRS system is “designed” on the specific research project, activating the user’s options in accordance with the Sponsor’s needs.

The options defined can be managed autonomously by the Investigator at any time and in real time. The IVRS system is supplied with devices for the security of the transmitted information that guarantee the compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) values and with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) concerning data management.

OPIS is in a position to offer the IVRS system, ensuring simultaneous multiple accesses by means of a toll-free number.
For each connection, the IVRS system automatically sends a fax/e-mail for confirmation to the users.

Moreover, through the IVRS Web Reporting Service, personalised displays of the database in table or graph form are available. They are readable with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Reader, etc.
